Alysha Verhoeven is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from Ailsa Craig, Ontario. She is known for her dedication to enhancing quality of life for seniors through meaningful and person centered programming. With more than fourteen years of experience across long term care, adult day programs, and retirement communities, Alysha is recognized for her leadership, compassion, and creativity in therapeutic recreation.

She holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor, a Therapeutic Recreation Diploma from Canadore College, and certifications in Mental Health and Addictions, dementia care, and recreational therapy. She currently works for St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario, where she continues to inspire others through her dedication and heart.

Before transitioning into health care, Alysha lived a life in the spotlight as a professional wrestler. She performed in 14 countries and captured over 15 championships throughout her international career. As she once said, “I always wanted to be a wrestler since I was 12 years old... when I was 24 I decided to pursue my dream.” Her athleticism and charisma eventually led her to appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and established her as one of the most versatile performers of her generation.

Beyond the ring, Alysha built a second creative chapter as an actress. She appeared in music videos, commercials, and live theatrical productions. Her wide ranging experience reflects her natural ability to connect with people, whether through performance or care.

In 2016, Alysha married her best friend. She became a proud mother to her first son in 2018, welcomed a daughter in 2020, and celebrated the birth of another son in 2022.

While on maternity leave, Alysha founded The Crafty Loon, a creative venture born from her love of crafting and design. What began as a passion project quickly evolved into a thriving small business that continues to grow and inspire others. Through The Crafty Loon, Alysha showcases her artistic side while maintaining her commitment to creativity and connection. Alysha enjoys crafting, playing both indoor and outdoor soccer, and spending time with her children. She has traveled the world and continues to embrace every opportunity to grow, create, and inspire others through her compassion and strength.
